just a thought

For so long I used to say, "God won't give me more than I can handle."

But now,

I'm wondering

if actually

He does.

Because only then do I declare my desperate dependence on Him.

And sing music to His ears.

With, "I need you."

And I open up my hands.

And say, "I can't handle this!"

So, maybe,

just maybe,

He does give me more than I can handle.

Because He can.

2 Corinthians 12:9
"My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness."

2 Corinthians 3:5
"Not that we are sufficient in ourselves to claim anything as coming from us, but our sufficiency is from God"

  1. I think I see what you're saying, like God gives us more than we can handle because that's how much we need in order to realize we can't handle it? I believe that's a very real concept to grasp, and it makes sense! One thing I've been focusing on lately is this simple concept " I'm happy to call him my savior but do I call him my Lord? Do I let him be my everything or only the only who saved me? So simple but it helps me think of my daily walk.

Hope you are doing great Sal!!!

    1. Yes I love this thought of calling on Him constantly (being your Lord) and not just stopping at the point of when He first saved you . . . I'm on board with this entirely . . .
