sweet pea

And I have to share this picture that my mom brought to my attention as HILARIOUS! I'm contemplating sharing the reality of all that was (unbeknownst to us) being foreshadowed in this snapshot . . . oh, what a roller coaster we've been on these past 3 1/2 weeks! If I muster up the energy and courage to share the cries of my heart from this journey, you'll probably end up wishing all I'd just kept posting pictures instead :)

  1. Sally,

First off let me say you are one AMAZING mom. You have the ability to be vulnerable with others and honest which is one of the biggest gifts you can ever give as a mom. It shows how strong you are in your dependance of Him and peace you have with not being perfect. We all struggle with the need to feel " we have it all together" whether we are moms or not. The truth is the more people there is in your life to be there for the harder it is to feel like we can "control our life." You are such a blessing to that little girl because she will grow up with this beautiful mom who will show her it's okay to cry, it's okay to have struggles because God doesn't expect perfection out of His children.

You are already showing her how to deal with the pains of life because they do come. I cannot emphasize enough how becoming a parent makes you get out of your comfort zone in a marriage. With each of our children it added a new level of us working harder to connect in the few hours of the day we had together. God will never put you in a stage of your life he hasn't already designed for you to not only get threw but grow threw!

Being a mom of two girls myself I can relate to the feelings of how it effects your husbands view of you. I strongly believe Taylor seeing you care for your daughter with such love and raw faith he will find you to be even more wonderful and beautiful than he has. I can also remember the first 6 weeks to be the hardest for me which all the " leaking" and the nursing. You are exactly right on how even though they nurse every 3 hours it really leaves you little time in between. It is very exhausting, I am so proud of you for hanging in there! If you just want someone to talk to feel free to call me I'm at home and have no shame when it comes to nursing, and all things babies! : ) 4)713-3998 Amazing and powerful blog Sally! You are awesome!
